THE FIRST COLLECTION
The DNA shop will bring together hand-thrown pottery, printed fabrics and objects developed through our workshops. Some pieces will be made at DNA. Others will be created with local makers whose knowledge and materials belong to the place.
Bowls, cups, serving pieces and vessels made for food, flowers and everyday use. Each piece carries the evidence of the hand that made it.
Light, generous cotton cloths made to wrap, wear, travel with and live in. Printed by hand in limited runs.
Lengths of printed cloth, table textiles and useful pieces carrying patterns developed from nature, craft and DNA.
THE DNA DHOTI · 4.5 METRES
Each dhoti begins as 4.5 metres of lightweight natural cotton. A simple hand-printed border runs along the top and bottom edges. At one end, a one-metre feature panel carries the fuller pattern—the part that becomes visible through wrapping, movement and wear.
The designs are built from repeatable hand-carved stamps. They can be made by artists, guests and workshop groups at DNA, allowing every edition to be recognisable but never mechanically identical.
FOUR STARTING LANGUAGES
Leaves, seed pods, roots, fruit and water lines—drawn from the plants and landscape around DNA.
A visionary rhythm of vines, serpentine movement, stars and growth, inspired by the rainforest without copying sacred Indigenous symbols.
Continuous interlocking lines with the strength of Celtic knotwork, simplified into bold contemporary stamps.
Fingerprint contours, germinating seeds, roots and cellular forms—a visual language drawn directly from DNA.
